Andrea Powell As Sasha

I was on TwilightMoms recently and saw a post about who was cast as Sasha, the mother figure to Tanya, Kate, and Irina. I looked at the picture of the woman who was cast. As I looked at the picture, I thought to myself, she looked familiar. To me, she looked like the mom of the main werewolf character from the tv show The Gates. So I looked up the woman and it turned out that it was the same woman. All I can say is that I think Andrea Powell is one of the few people who has switch sides from werewolf to vampire.

Mackenzie Foy As Renesmee

When I found out that Mackenzie Foy was cast as Renesmee, I thought to myself, how are they going to make her into a baby/toddler? Because Mackenzie is obviously not a little kid, let alone a baby/toddler. I mean, I can understand why the casting director chose an “older” actress to play such a young character because that’s what they did with Claudia aka Kirsten Dunst from the movie version of Interview With The Vampire. What I mean by that in the book and movie, Claudia is basically a fully grown woman who’s trapped in a 6-year-old body. So, when they were casting for Claudia, they wanted to cast a slightly older actress to play her because there was no way that an actual 6-year-old actress who could even remotely act the necessary emotions, intelligence, etc., that is required from the character. So, what I’m basically saying is that an actor/actress who is actually the same age as the character might be able to play the necessary maturity that the character calls for. Anyway, as for whether or not Mackenzie will be good as Renesmee, I don’t know. I haven’t seen her act.

Judi Shekoni vs. Marsha Thomason

Last month, I found out that Judi Shekoni was going to be playing Zafrina, from the Amazonia coven, for Breaking Dawn. As I looked at her picture, it dawned on me that she guest-starred on an episode of NCIS, the one where the model died on a Navy or Marine base while filming a reality show. Anyway, the reason I’m bringing this up is because at first, when I saw that episode, I thought that she was the same actress who played Eddie Murphy’s wife in The Haunted Mansion. So, I looked the woman who played Eddie Murphy’s wife in The Haunted Mansion, aka Marsha Thomason, and realized that Marsha Thomason and Judi Shekoni were two separate women. To me, they could pass for sisters. Anyway, that’s just what I think.

Casey LaBow As Kate From Breaking Dawn

Back in September, I found out who was cast as the Denali clan from Breaking Dawn. And it turns out that Casey LaBow, who played Cherish in an episode of Moonlight, will play Kate. Well, I can’t remember how Kate was, personality wise, but in terms of looks, I can totally picture her as a vampire. Anyway, I’m interested to see how it turns out.

The Season 8 Finale Of Project Runway

I know it’s been a while since the season eight finale of Project Runway but I just wanted to get my thoughts on it out there. After watching the season finale, all I can say is whoa. I really did not expect to see Gretchen as the winner. Personally, I thought that her collection was a little bit too wearable. That’s why I thought that Mondo would have won. His collection seemed more…high fashion oriented. But as I thought about it, the judges have set precedence of judging the way that they did. The example that I’m talking about would be between Chloe and Michael from season two. They were both excellent designers but it became a battlefield between which one they would rather have. Anyway, I honestly don’t think that Gretchen should have won. All I can say now is that the amount of winners is evenly distributed between men and women.

Season 1: Jay
Season 2: Chloe
Season 3: Jeff
Season 4: Christian
Season 5: Leanne
Season 6: Irina
Season 7: Seth Aaron
Season 8: Gretchen

The Burned House In Tennessee

I heard about this from a friend on Facebook. Basically what happened was that a fire destroying a home in a rural part of Tennessee. The nearest fire department was already out there because there was another fire nearby. Even though the fire truck was already out there, they did absolutely nothing because the owner of the house didn’t pay a $75 fe that helps pay for the fire department for coming out to a rural area. Anyway, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I think that the firefighters should have put out the fire. I mean, they were already out there. Plus, wouldn’t the firefighter want the same done for him or herself if the situation was reversed? However, on the other hand, if the other homeowner didn’t pay the necessary fee, then the firefighters were legally right to let the house burn. I don’t know. I just think that the firefighters should have saved the house, despite the fact that the homeowner didn’t pay the fee.

Gratton Springs vs. Abraham Lincoln

I’m currently reading a book about hauntings in America. In the introduction, it told a story about this guy named Adam Springs, who lived in North Carolina. Apparently, a young woman named Nancy Hanks came to work for him. Adam Springs pursued her even though he was already married. Nancy eventually gave in and became pregnant. By chance, a young, traveling young man named Thomas Lincoln came into town. Fearing scandal and hearing about Lincoln, Adam Springs befriended Lincoln and let him stay at his home. Eventually, Springs took Lincoln aside and offered him a huge amount of money to take Nancy with him when he left. Fortunately, Lincoln and Nancy fell in love and Lincoln agreed. They eventually left. Soon, Nancy gave birth to a son, which they called Abraham. Anyway, when Abraham Lincoln eventually became president, Gratton Springs, Adam Spring’s legitimate son, often commented their shared resemblance. So, when I read that, I decided to look both up. I have to admit that they do look very similar. I can see how they could possibly be related. A little FYI, the man on the left is Gratton Springs. Obviously, the man on the right is Abraham Lincoln.
