Amy Was Kicked Auf’d!

I can’t believe that Amy was kicked off! I thought that she had so much potential. I mean, I’m not sure that she would have made it to the top three, but I thought that she would have made it to at least the the top five. But then again, that’s what I thought about Shirin from season 6, and look what happened. Anyway, I can’t believe that Amy was auf’d. All I can say now is that the chance of a third season in a row with an all female top 3 is gone now that Amy is gone.

Mia Wasikowska vs. Gwyneth Paltrow

On the 13th, I went to see Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland as a kill-two-birds-with-one-stone thing. Anyway, as I was watching the movie, I was thinking to myself that Mia Wasikowska reminded me of someone. When I thought about it more, it dawned on me that Mia reminded me of a young Gwyneth Paltrow. I say that because they’re both skinny, blonde, and pale. Anyway that’s just what I think.

“My Books Are About Killing God”

One day, I happened to stumble upon this article and I found it to be somewhat interesting. In the article, it talked about how The Golden Compass should have been boycotted, and how Chris Weitz copied the Chronicles of Narnia movies, in terms of design, etc. Anyway, that’s not what I found interesting. What I found interesting was the quote from Philip Pullman that said that his books are about killing God, and that there’s less controversy surrounding it as compared to the Harry Potter series. You know, I don’t get these Christian people/groups who are against having the Harry Potter series in school libraries because the Harry Potter series are about wizards/witches and magic, and yet they allow His Northern Materials, a series about killing God. The way that I look at it, and having read His Northern lights, the Harry Potter series is a small fish compared to His Northern Materials in the metaphorical frying pan. Because I think that a series about killing God is way more anti-Christian than a series that has very little, if any, religious connotations, whether it’s Christian, Wiccan, etc.

Ben Is Auf’d

When I watched the Elements challenge, I wasn’t really sure what to think when Ben was eliminated. I say that because it’s not like Ben was really featured much on the show. Well, at least not until this episode. Anyway, my point is that it’s not like we, as in the audience, really got to see Ben’s point of view because Ben was usually safe. Other than that episode, he was only in the top/bottom six once. And the only time that a designer is interviewed on the show is when he or she is in the top/bottom six. Anyway, it’s a shame that Ben didn’t stay longer. I would have liked to see more from him.

Alice’s Premonitions

I was just thinking about Breaking Dawn as the end result of a Twilight train of thought because of the New Moon DVD having come out this past Saturday. Anyway, I have a slight problem with the Bella parts of Breaking Dawn. The problem that I have is why couldn’t Alice have seen that Renesmee’s existence would cause problems with the Volturi before Renesmee was born. The way that I see it is that Alice was able to see Bella’s pregnancy and therefore put birth control pills into Bella’s luggage when Bella and Edward went on their honeymoon. So, by extension, Alice would have seen the future problems. Now, I know that Alice can’t see Renesmee’s future because Alice was never a vampire/human hybrid. But I’m thinking in terms of either Bella or Edward’s futures. Anyway, that’s just what I think.
