The Kid Outfit Challenge

After watching last week’s episode, I can’t really say that I was surprised that Jeanne was eliminated. Her outfits were just plain and boring. Even Amy’s outfits, though extremely disappointing in several ways, were visually interesting. Anyway, on a happier note, I’m glad that Seth Aaron won the challenge. I had a feeling that he was going to win. I say that because it seemed like he really drew inspiration from his own experiences with his daughter. Anyway, I’m glad that Seth Aaron won this challenge.

The Healthy BMI Requirement

Ok, I know this article came out last year but I wanted to write my opinion on it. I have a bone to pick with Lincoln University’s graduation requirement of being within your BMI for everybody. Now, keep in mind that I’m not within my recommended BMI, so I think that I’m a bit biased. Anyway, the first reason that I have a bone to pick with that requirement is that the BMI is somewhat unreliable. It doesn’t take into consideration the person’s body type. For example, football players. According to the BMI, a lot of football players are considered to be overweight, if not obese. But if you look at the majority of football players, it’s obvious that they’re not fat. It’s mostly muscle, and muscles weigh more than fat. And on the other extreme, people who have an extremely low BMI, such as these professional models that we see on the runways. People who have an extremely low BMI aren’t exactly at a good weight either. For example, Nicole Richie at her lowest weight. Can you honestly tell me that she looks healthy, at least in this picture? Anyway, the other reason is that what if a student has a condition or has to take some kind of medication that makes it hard to lose or gain weight? Did Lincoln University take that into consideration? Because I have heard conditions, diseases, and medications that can make it hard to for a person to gain or lose weight, such as Cushing’s. Anyway, overall, I don’t think that it should really only be applied to those in the health, fitness, and sport professions, such as nutritionists, dietitians, or a physical therapist. Anyway, that’s just what I think.

Models of the Runway: Alexis is Staying

Now, I know there aren’t many people who have watched every episode of Models of the Runway, like I have, but I don’t really see why the other models don’t really like Alexis. I mean, I can understand why they thought she was mean when she told her dream about Megan, but it was just a dream and Alexis did apologize. But, as for everything else, I think that it’s just like what I said in my Irina post. Models of the Runway is a competition for the models. While I think that Alexis could be a bit more diplomatic with what she says and how she acts, I don’t think that she should be criticized by the other models for doing everything that she can do to win. Anyway, that’s what I think.

The Marie Claire Challenge

When I watched the Marie Claire episode last Friday, through DVR, I can’t really say that I was surprised that Anna was eliminated. Like what was said on the show, Anna’s outfit wasn’t really something that Heidi would wear, especially for a magazine cover. Now, as for the winner, personally, I think that Ben should have won instead of William. I’m not saying that William’s outfit was horrible, but I thought that Ben’s outfit was more visually appealing. It would have caught my eye on the magazine rack. Anyway, that’s just what I think.

Is Moonlight Returning?

I can’t remember what lead me to go the Moonlight site on imdb.com but I eventually got onto the site. Anyway, what caught my eye was the articles that were shown. The articles showed that Moonlight might come back due to the rise in vampire interest. My reaction was that I hope that they do. Like one of the commenters said on an article I read, there’s a whole lot of stuff that they just left hanging. Who gave the list of vampires to the new ada? What’s going to happen with Mick and Beth? Is he going to turn her? What about Josef and Sarah? Is Sarah ever going to come out of her coma? And what about the Coraline, Lance, and the cure? Will Coraline be able to create a permanent cure? Will Mick be able to get his hands on the cure? Anyway, you can obviously see that there’s so many questions that were left unanswered. I honestly hope that Moonlight will come back.

Advertising

The whole Christmas season post made think. I don’t know get why certain tv commercials are shown in areas where the products aren’t relevant. Case in point would be J.C. Penny’s and the Olive Garden in Hawaii. There aren’t any more J.C. Penny’s in Hawaii. If I remember correctly, I think the last one closed down a good five to ten years ago, at least. And as for the Olive Garden, I don’t even remember there ever being one here. Anyway, the point is that I don’t know why companies like J.C. Penny’s or the Olive Garden advertise in places where there aren’t any locations.

The Christmas Season

Now that the holidays are over, it made me think. I don’t know why the stores put up Christmas decorations or radio stations start playing Christmas music like one to two months before Thanksgiving. The same thing goes for the Christmas tv commercials. Now, I can understand the commercials if they were to start airing them about one to two weeks before Thanksgiving because of Black Friday. But I think it’s absolutely ridiculous for the stores, radio stations, and tv stations to start with the Christmas stuff like two months before the actual holiday. Anyway, that’s just what I think.
