Joey Fatone vs. Maksim Chmerkovskiy

As I said before, I watched the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars because of who was in the cast. Anyway, after seeing Erin and Maks go to the finale, it made me think. Maks reminds me of Joey Fatone, formerly of *N SYNC. I find it interesting how these two guys, who are from two different European ethnicities, could pass for brothers.

Dancing With The Stars Finale

I have been watching this past season of Dancing With The Stars because of who was going to be in the cast. Honestly, I had a feeling that between Erin, Nicole, and Evan, Erin would be in third place and that it would be a toss-up between Nicole and Evan for first and second place. I say that because Erin could hold her own but was not quite like Nicole and Evan. It’s like gold and platinum. While gold or in this case, Erin, is valuable/good, platinum, which would be Nicole and Evan, is even more valuable/better. Anyway, as for who I wanted to win, I was rooting for Evan. I don’t know why Evan over Nicole, but yeah…Anyway, congratulations to Nicole for winning.

The Healthy BMI Requirement

Ok, I know this article came out last year but I wanted to write my opinion on it. I have a bone to pick with Lincoln University’s graduation requirement of being within your BMI for everybody. Now, keep in mind that I’m not within my recommended BMI, so I think that I’m a bit biased. Anyway, the first reason that I have a bone to pick with that requirement is that the BMI is somewhat unreliable. It doesn’t take into consideration the person’s body type. For example, football players. According to the BMI, a lot of football players are considered to be overweight, if not obese. But if you look at the majority of football players, it’s obvious that they’re not fat. It’s mostly muscle, and muscles weigh more than fat. And on the other extreme, people who have an extremely low BMI, such as these professional models that we see on the runways. People who have an extremely low BMI aren’t exactly at a good weight either. For example, Nicole Richie at her lowest weight. Can you honestly tell me that she looks healthy, at least in this picture? Anyway, the other reason is that what if a student has a condition or has to take some kind of medication that makes it hard to lose or gain weight? Did Lincoln University take that into consideration? Because I have heard conditions, diseases, and medications that can make it hard to for a person to gain or lose weight, such as Cushing’s. Anyway, overall, I don’t think that it should really only be applied to those in the health, fitness, and sport professions, such as nutritionists, dietitians, or a physical therapist. Anyway, that’s just what I think.
