Are Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower Engaged?

I stumbled upon this video through watching an extended version of the Eclipse trailer. In the video, it talked about how there are rumors that Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginnie Weasley in Harry Potter, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who played Caius and Anthony in New Moon and Sweeney Todd, are engaged to be married. When I first heard that, I was like “What?” Anyway, if the rumors are true, I think that they should wait until they are a little bit older. I say that for two reasons. The first reason is that Bonnie and Jamie are young. I mean Jamie is only a few months younger than me. And from what I understand, Bonnie is about two to three years younger than me and Jamie. Since I’m still 21, that would make Bonnie about 19ish. Now, I’ve heard that young married couples, where both people are in their early 20s, the marriage usually doesn’t last very long. So, based on that factor alone, I think they should wait. Anyway, the second reason is that both Bonnie and Jamie are celebrities. And everybody who hasn’t been living under a rock also knows that when two celebrities get married to each other, their marriage usually doesn’t last very long either. So, when you combine the youth and celebrity factor into the marriage, it’s most likely going to fail. I’m not saying that if the rumors are true and they actually get married, that the marriage will automatically fail. However, Bonnie and Jamie would have a lot stacked against them.

Top 10 Loved Vampires

I was watching E!’s show 10 Vampires We Love shortly after I came home from watching New Moon. The show was a countdown of the vampires that the people of E! like. I’ll include the list at the end of this post. Anyway, I have a bone to pick with who they chose to be on the list. I noticed that the list didn’t include, in my opinion, a variety of vampires, and the fact that all, except one, of the vampires are from movies or tv shows that came out within the last ten years. Anyway, what I mean by the lack of variety is that four of the vampires came from two different sources. I find it biased like how this post is. The reason that I have a problem is that they didn’t include other vampires like Henry Fitzpatrick from Blood Ties, Mick St. John from Moonlight or any of the vampires from the Vampire Chronicles or The Lost Boys. I don’t think it’s right to put a relatively unknown vampire like Santinico Pandemonium or Dracula from Dracula 2000 on a list like 10 Vampires We Love when there are better qualified vampires out there.

10. Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore
9. Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen
8. David Boreanaz as Angel
7. Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton
6. Selma Hayek as Santanico Pandemonium
5. Gerard Butler as Dracula in Dracula 2000
4. Wesley Snipes as Blade
3. Kate Beckinsale as Selene
2. Alexander Skarsgaard as Eric Northman
1. Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen

A Forbidden Romance

You know, with all the tv shows having talked about the Twilight series, since New Moon was coming out, and how Bella and Edward’s relationship was forbidden, etc., it made me think. Why are people hooked onto the Twilight stuff when there are other movies or other pieces of literature where there is a forbidden romance in it? I mean, there is the classic Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare. There is also the movie Titanic. In Romeo & Juliet, the forbidden romance was the fact that the couple were from feuding families. In Titanic, Jack and Rose were from different classes. What is it about Bella and Edward’s relationship that makes it so different from the other two? Is it because he’s a vampire and she’s human and that’s something new? I really just don’t get it.

Werewolves vs. Shapeshifters pt. 2

Like I said in my previous post, I finished Breaking Dawn last month. Anyway, the other part that struck me was when Aro and Caius were talking about the “werewolves”. When Aro actually said that Jacob and “the rest of the pack” were actually shapeshifters and not real werewolves, I was like, yes, I knew it! I knew that they weren’t real werewolves. Like I said in one of my previous post, and keep in mind that I hadn’t read Breaking Dawn at that time, I knew that there was something off about the description of the werewolves. And besides, I have never heard of werewolves in Native American stories. I have only heard of shapeshifters/skinwalkers in the Native American stories. I usually hear of werewolf stories in the context of Europe and in what European immigrants brought to North America. I’m just saying that before you actually believe that Jacob and everyone else in the Quileute tribe are werewolves, look up general Native American stories. And in this case, I’m glad that I have an interest in the paranormal or else I wouldn’t have questioned Stephanie Meyer’s knowledge of werewolves.

Renesmee vs. Nessie

I finished reading Breaking Dawn last month. Anyway, one of the parts that stuck out in my mind was when the Volturi are coming to find out as to what Renesmee is exactly. The thing that I have a bone to pick with is the fact that Bella bitches and moans about how everybody calls Renesmee “Nessie.” Now, I kinda can see why she would rather people call Renesmee by her actual name, because I really don’t like it when people call me something different. But the thing that I don’t get is why doesn’t Bella just accept that Nessie is just easier to say than Renesmee. Why does she insist on having everybody her Renesmee? I mean it’s just like Jacob said in the book. Renesmee is a mouthful to say. Plus, it’s kinda hard to say in the first place. Anyway, that’s just what I think. And I know that the picture is a picture of Claudia from Interview With The Vampire. But there aren’t any pictures that I could find that I thought were appropriate.
